Your Funds At Work
Because your help in funding our mission is so critical, we’d like to share with you the ways we have provided financial assistance to individuals battling cancer. We provided funds to pay for:
Food and gas expenses for a stage 2 breast cancer patient. Our assistance enabled her to buy food for herself and her father and to buy gas to get to her chemotherapy appointments and to job interviews when she became unemployed. With our assistance, she was able to find a new job.
Transportation services to/from radiology and chemotherapy appointments for a neck and back cancer patient in his 70s. With our assistance, he was able to get to his appointments. Prior to that, he had to walk over 3 miles each way. As his health continued to fail, he was unable to walk to/from his appointments. With our assistance, he was able to continue his treatment.
Transportation services to/from radiology and chemotherapy appointments for a Stage 2 breast cancer patient. With our assistance, she was able to get to her appointments in a timely manner. Prior to that, she had to take a bus to/from appointments which could take 2-3 hours since a direct route was not available. She had to stand outside in the cold waiting for the bus to arrive. With our assistance, she was able to be picked up and dropped off at her door and got to and from her appointments in less than 30 minutes.
A ramp for a stage 4 brain cancer patient. With our assistance, the patient was able to obtain a wheelchair and to use the new ramp to get in and out of his townhouse. Prior to that, he had numerous falls trying to maneuver. He has not had a fall since he got a wheelchair and is able to use the ramp for access.
Toys for the holidays for over 60 families who have children with cancer. With our assistance, families were able to provide toys to their children over the 2014 holiday season.
Donated Easter Baskets to 50 children with various types of cancer.
Provided co-pay assistance for a Stage 2 breast cancer patient.
Together, we all made this possible. We want to thank you and we look forward to your continued support.
